The logo for the Samsung ZEO

The Samsung Zeo is a game console developed by Samsung. It is Samsung's first game console and will serve as the competitor to Gamecom's GigaCom and Megadream's Super Gamer consoles.

A typical Zeo is roughly the size of a PlayStation 2 console. The console features a disc slot for the discs, four LED indicators for checking the controllers' connectivicity status and the power and open buttons. Four USB slots are also included for USB devices. There are two SD card slots in the game additional memory

The Zeo has a built-in camera near its left side which can be used to take pictures and save it on the SD card. Besides taking pictures, the camera can also sense motions done by the player. The motion-sensing camera control scheme can be used in some games such as in the pack-in game ZeoLympics.

The controllers for the Zeo are wireless and use Bluetooth technology to connect to the console. The controller resembles a Sega Saturn controller and features six face buttons (labelled A, B, C, D, 1 and 2). a directional pad, two analog stick below the d-pad and the face buttons, respectively, three utility buttons (the Select, Start and ZEO (Home Menu) buttons), four shoulder buttons (labelled L+, L-, R+ and R-) and the power button and charge indicators on the very top. These controllers use a lithium-ion battery similar to those seen in cellular phones and portable game consoles. The console comes with a battery charger for the controller's batteries. USB cords can also be plugged in these controlers, allowing for classic, wired gameplay.

The Zeo uses Blu-Rays for the games, just like the PlayStation 3. Games can also be downloaded from Samsung Apps LIVEPLAY, a PSN/XBox Live-like internet service. Credits for the LIVEPLAY store are presented as "LIVE points", and can be funded by a bank account or by LIVEPLAY top-up cards.
