Revision as of 22:46, 4 February 2016

Super Smash Bros. Strife would be the 5th installment for Nintendo's next home and handheld consoles, whatever they may be. Strife's gameplay and features would follow those of its predecessor: Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U.

Characters

Super Smash Bros. Strife features an even larger cast of characters than before.

In Smash 4, the concept of having alternate "skins" of characters that had the exact same moveset as other characters but given their own names and voices was first implemented in the series with characters such as Bowser Jr. and the Koopalings and Olimar and Alph. In Strife, this concept would be explored further, going so far as to have an alternate (sometimes unlockable) skin for almost every character.

Characters in bold must be unlocked.

Newcomers

Character Series Game of Origin Final Smash Final Smash info Skins
Waluigi Mario Mario Tennis Bob-Omb Barrage Waluigi sets up a large Bob-Omb cannon. He's positioned so that the cannon is in front of him and he is facing towards the player(s). The cannon can turn 180 degrees from the left to the right. You press the special move button to fire a Bob-Omb, and you can do this for 10 seconds or until you've fired five Bob-Ombs.
Fawful Mario Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga Dark Star Fawful pulls out the Dark Star and causes several smaller dark stars to rain down. It's somewhat similar to PK Starstorm, but the small dark stars serve as bludgeoning attacks rather than energy attacks and when they hit the ground, they will bounce and can do half damage on the bounce. Dark Fawful
King K. Rool Donkey Kong Donkey Kong Country Arm the Kannons King K. Rool jumps in his pirate ship that appears in the front of the screen. A targeting reticle appears over the stage that K. Rool can use to target opponents and fire exploding cannonballs at them using the special move button for the 10 second duration. Kaptain K. Rool and Baron K. Roolenstein
Midna The Legend of Zelda The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Hand of Twilight Midna summons a giant hand from the Twilight Realm that grabs an opponent in front of her, squeezes them while dealing dark energy damage, then throws them into the ground, launching them.
Skull Kid The Legend of Zelda The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask Final Day The Skull Kid calls the moon from Majora's Mask to come crashing down to the stage leaving an explosion in its wake that can launch foes.
Bandana Waddle Dee Kirby Kirby Super Star Ultra Spear Bandana Waddle Dee's spear grows to the size of a tree trunk before he thrusts it forward into his enemies, covering a lot more area and packing a lot more launch power than his normal spear thrust.
Krystal (Star Fox Assault) Star Fox Star Fox Adventures Arwing Krystal gets in an Arwing and will swoop over the stage four times (dragoon style). Each time, you can aim the laser cannons and then fire with the special move button. It's somewhat tricky to pull off, but the laser cannons pack quite a punch. Krystal (Star Fox Adventures)
Sceptile Pokemon Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire Mega Sceptile Sceptile uses a Mega Stone to transform into Mega Sceptile, giving all of his attacks added power.
Viridi Kid Icarus Kid Icarus: Uprising Reset Bomb Viridi calls down a Reset Bomb that launches those who get caught within its large blast radius.
Inkling (female) Splatoon Splatoon Splat Zone Inkling covers everyone in a set radius of her with paint, slowing them down significantly and also dealing damage for a certain period of time Inkling (male)
Shadow Sonic the Hedgehog Sonic Adventure 2 Super Shadow Works just like Super Sonic, except it's slightly more powerful and difficult to control. Mephiles
Cross (male) Xenoblade Chronicles Xenoblade Chronicles X Skell Assault Cross gets into a Skell mech that can be flown around the stage. You can press the attack button to swing its photon saber or the special move button to fire its guns. Cross (female)
Zero (Mega Man Zero) Mega Man Mega Man X Ultimate Form Zero goes into Ultimate Form, as seen in Mega Man Zero 2. It boosts the power of all of his moves except for his charge shot standard special move, which instead takes much less time to charge. Zero (Mega Man X)
