Phoenix Wright (FS)

Phoenix Wright is a newcomer in Final Smash Bros: Switch from the Ace Attorney series.

Attributes

Just like in his game, Phoenix Wright is ready to defend himself with words and evidence alike. He is a middleweight character with slightly below average walking and dashing speeds, as well as sub-par falling speed, air acceleration, and air speed. This results in his poor mobility. However, his jump is just as high as Sheik's and Wii Fit Trainer's.

Phoenix Wright's physical attacks have large hitboxes and do a decent amount of damage: making him a good edge guarder. However, his smash attacks do have noticeable end lag, and his aerials give him a noticeable amount of landing lag.

To make up for his easy-to-punish character, Phoenix Wright has the least end lag on his grab when it misses, and he has a fast (but weak) pummel. His throws also deal decent damage and knockback.

• Phoenix comes through the courtroom doors with papers in hand, then he puts them in his vest.

Taunts

• Up Taunt: Phoenix sneezes three times, once to his left, once straight ahead, and once to his right. Then he rubs his nose.
• Side Taunt: Phoenix points his arm forward with index finger extended. He says "Hold it!" and stays in position. Then his arms drop and he says "Nevermind I guess..."
• Down Taunt: Phoenix trips and falls on the floor. This drastically decreases his hurtbox.

Idle Poses

• Phoenix stands in his "thinker" pose.
• Phoenix looks downwards and then behind him.

Neutral Attack		4%	Phoenix Wright performs a quick swipe with his right hand. This is one of his few moves with a poor hitbox. It is unable to hit crouching characters. However, it has mediocre knockback and has low end lag, making it a good keep-away option.
Forward Tilt		8%	Phoenix pulls out papers and puts, quickly examines them, then puts them away. He cannot move until he puts them away.
Up Tilt		6% while rising. 4% on decent.	Phoenix Wright nonchalantly throws a crumpled up piece of paper into the air then catches it as it falls. Phoenix cannot move until he has caught the paper.
Down Tilt		3%	Phoenix Wright swipes his hand across the ground and trips the target. This move has low end lag.
Dash Attack		1: 6% 2: 3%	Phoenix Wright trips and falls forwards, the first hit taking place when he begins falling and the second hit as he slides upon the ground. This moves him slightly forward across the stage.

A sweetspot exists on the finger of the longer blue arm. Phoenix shouts "Contradiction!" when he performs this attack.
Up Smash	Got It!	Uncharged: 9% Fully Charged: 18%	Phoenix Wright enters his thinking pose as this move charges. Then he shouts "Got it!" is an exclamation point appears over his head. The exclamation point deals damage.
Down Smash		Uncharged: 10% Fully Charged: 17%	Phoenix pulls out his desk, and slams his hands on it.
Neutral Aerial		5%	Phoenix whips out papers and examines them. The initial motion of papers coming out deals damage. This move doesn't end until Phoenix touches the ground, jumps, or uses a special.
Forward Aerial		9%	Phoenix points his finger forwards.
Up Aerial		8%	Phoenix sneezes facing upwards. This move has nice knockback.
Down Aerial		6%	Phoenix sneezes facing downwards. Enemies that are hit by the underside of his nose get spiked.
Back Aerial		8%	Phoenix throws a case file behind him in an arc.
Grab		--	Grabs the opponent by their collar. Shorter characters are lifted into the air.
Pummel		2%	Phoenix slaps the grabbed opponent with the back of his hand. A fast pummel.
Forward Throw		6%	Phoenix lets go of the opponent and pushes them away with both hands.
Back Throw		6%	Phoenix throws the opponent behind him in an arc, as though they were useless evidence.
Up Throw		4%	Phoenix throws the opponent upwards into the air.
Down Throw		1: 4% 2: 6%	Phoenix drops the opponent onto the ground and then slides them away with a kick of his foot. After being kicked away, the opponent may slide off the ledge.

Side Special	Objection!	1: 3% 2: 10%	Phoenix points his finger and shouts "Objection", and a speech bubble appears in front of him. His finger combos into the speech bubble.
Up Special	Pole Vault	--	Phoenix performs a pole vault using the spear of the Steel Samurai.
Down Special	Attorney's Badge	--	Phoenix shows off his attorney's badge, reflecting incoming projectiles that in turn do 2x the damage.
Final Smash	Cornered	--	The music changes into Pursuit as Phoenix gives off a misty blue aura, and all Phoenix's attacks deal 2.5x the damage and 2x the knockback for 20 seconds.
