Bleach: Heat the Soul 8 will be the sequel to Bleach: Heat the Soul 7. It will be the first HTS game in the series to be exclusive to consoles, as there is a Playstation 3 port and an Xbox 360 port as well. This entry of the series is also available for the Playstation Vita system. It is published by SCEI and Namco-Bandai Games and developed by Eighting, Ltd. Unlike the other games which follow the anime, HTS8 will officially follow storylines adapted from the manga (unfortunately, no characters from the Lost Substitute Shinigami arc are playable in this title; they do make cameo appearances, however)

The game also uses graphics reminiscent of Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit, but in the animation of the Bleach anime, itself.
